A downdraft hood is a local ventilation system that controls airborne contaminants in industrial and laboratory settings. It consists of a work surface with an integrated ventilation system that draws air downward, capturing and removing pollutants and particulate matter generated during various processes. The downdraft hood typically has strategically placed grates or perforations on the work surface, allowing air to be pulled through and contaminants to be exhausted through ducts.

The chemical-resistant structure of the downdraft hood is made of a special grade of HDPE and can be easily connected to any active exhaust ventilation system. Our system comes in two models, one with a built-in fan and one without, and provides the most efficient way of removing contaminants. Uniform capture velocity across the perforated work surface ensures the removal of harmful particles.
The flexible airflow ranging from 100 to 220 cfm makes it the perfect anesthesia gas solution for rodent surgery. Our downdraft hood is designed and made entirely in the US, ensuring the highest quality standards. Its standard dimensions of 28” W x 16” D x 6” H make it easy to relocate to different locations in the laboratory or shop. The mobility and flexibility of our system make it the perfect solution for all your ventilation needs.
